wondering major differences between at pro and at gold.I read some articles where at gold is not picking up much gold. which one is an all around detector?

I may be wrong but I believe the PRO which I have runs 15 KH and the gold runs 17Kh. I like my pro with the 5x8 coil.

The major difference is the frequency of each, the Pro runs 15 khz and the Gold runs at 18 khz.

Define "better".

They're different (slightly)! The Gold should be better on smaller and lower conductive (lead,nickle,gold) targets whereas the Pro should be better on higher conductors such as copper & silver targets.
