Just wondering if anyone else has had wireless headphone problems with the Garrett ATMax ? Can electrical interference effect the headphones? There are several places I hunt where the headphones seem to cut in and out and sometimes do not work at all. I noticed heavy electrical wires overhead . Any thoughts?

I have had an AT Max since November 2021. Last spring, I detected a school ground and realized I was not getting tones when I swept towards some of the metal equipment. Tried everything I could think of and finally gave up for the day. Not that I was trying to detect the equipment, but the lack of tone indicated something was not right. A couple of weeks later, I had a trip planned that took me through the Dallas area, so I stopped at the Garret factory. The folks there were really nice and checked out my headphones and AT Max and declared all working properly. They did tell me to make sure the headphone with the on/off switch was worn closest to the detector. Have not had an ounce of problem since then, but one of these days I will go back to that site and see if I can figure out what caused the problem. I am suspicious that there was a radio operator or some such that was causing interference.
