Garrett carrot retune question

If you use the retune function, do you have to turn it off to return to normal? Or will it return to normal after X period of time? The manual doesn't say either way. Thank you in advance.

Turn it off, then back on to go back to the full sensitivity; takes but a second. You want to hold it out away from everything when switching on, BTW.
Leaving it on will just give you "lost pinpointer" chirps after 5 minutes, then it shuts itself off after one hour.

Just move it away from any metal objects and retune again. Easy peasy, no need to turn it off.
