I didn't know Garrett made a GTA 350 recently, they did years ago. They have a GTA 550 out and it is a step up from the ACE 250. Unless this GTA 350 is under $100.00 I wouldn't buy it. If it has something wrong with it you would have to send it in to Garrett for repair at a cost of If you already bought it and it works, great.

The GTA 350 I recently got on Ebay works fine. Now I only dry land hunt now, but I owned one back in HI as well in 1994-1996, I used that GTA 350 alot at the beach, and it worked well there as well. The GTA 350 was originally a $350 detector, with a free pair of Garret $44.95 headphones with it. I have detected coins down 5-6 inches easily.

It chirps quite alot, which I hate but, you will learn when to dig & not to dig, comes with experience. I paid $157.00 for my latest GTA 350.

I will be purchasing the new GTI2500 soon, and will keep my GTA350 as a backup/loaner detector. If you get a working GTA350 for around $150 or less, I would say it is better than
a cheapo version Bounty Hunter or Discover model, at least it is a more capable detector.
