Is it worth $100 to have as a back-up to my Ace 350 ? Or not worth messing with? Thank-You sir

Yes....The GTI 2000 will probably whip up on the 350....just be heavy....please let us know how it does VS the ACE 350 should be interesting .

Didnt get Garrett gti2000. It went for $260.00, they said it worked, but it was used roughly, Bottom shaft and coil pretty scratched and scuffed up

I just recently purchased the GTI 2000 also and wanted to find out about having it upgraded to the 2500. The price is up to $350 now, but the upgrade includes all the internal chips as well as the swap of the search coil. I have not heard anyone that has already done this say it's worth it or not. I do agree that the unit is much heavier than my other unit (Fisher F2), but the really great feature is the ability to measure the size of a target. The recovery speed seems slow and I get a few false beeps which is a bit annoying. I wonder if that is also part of what they fix when you upgrade to the 2500. Any thing you have heard about this would be great.
