Garrett Infinium & DD coil connector
Hi Everyone,
While on the field I lost my coil signal on my Infinium MD. It had never happen before and of course I panicked. After a moment of calming down I remembered that I had snagged the cable from the coil to the connector right at the control box. Now every time I turn it on now, the coil connector has to be unplugged and plugged back in just so its working right. This is even if its turned off for a second. From then on it works fine until its turned off/on again.
The unit is 4 years old so there is no warranty coverage and I'm worried about cost to have it serviced. Since I don't have another coil for it there, is no way of finding out if the problem is with the coil or unit connector. The nearest Garrett dealer is 3 hours away, too. Does anyone have any recommendations? Please, help
Thank You in advance.
