I just seen that Garrett Detectors is having a 25% off everything in stock black friday sale that runs now through December 5. That's not a bad deal at all! Just use CYBER25 and the best part is that they offer free shipping on any purchase over $100.

Nothing wrong with that! Still might be worth a call or two to the dealers we have here on this site to be sure they can't do better before buying.

HH ALL!

Never owned a Garrett but also never will. Those people I’ve known who had them had a hard time finding stuff with them and traded them for other machines, clearly a lot of people like them so it might just be my experience.

I like my ACE 250. Light and easy to use. I have the mini coil too. A good set of headphones is essential though.

You can get an ACE Apex for $288.00 and an AT Pro for $429.00 using promo code Cyber25

I love Garrett metal Detectors, fine people and great machines. I have owned 3 different Garrett detectors and never had an issue with them finding stuff. I have finally learned after 30 years of metal detecting and owning well over 50 detectors. It was never the machine when came to finding stuff, it was me.

So you don't need a detector at all.... :laughing9:

I think Garrett were once something.... but failed to modernise or relaunch themselves in line with current trends,, seemed to be trying to catch up with the Apex, Vortex etc... but already miles behind Minelab , XP and others. They hit their peak with the AT series.. I still have an Ace 250 with a nel hunter coil, and i reckon it goes deeper than anything else i have tried, but the user experience is just so 1970's... And it is usually deep Iron crap..
Die hard fans will continue to support the brand, but it has lost it's appeal.
:happy3:

I was only going by personal experience, years ago in Spain someone had one in a field with me, as I was digging Roman coins and silver denarius, he wasn’t getting any signals, he had a Garrett and I had a Whites. Years later here, my hunting partner started with a Garrett while I had a Whites, he always seemed to have issues with noise and not being able to determine good targets etc. So he sold it and got a Whites, he was so much happier. I don’t know what models either of them had, I don’t know their experience level etc, but left me with a bad taste in my mouth for Garrett. Just me.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Same thing with me, My wife uses and has always used a Fisher CZ5, me on the other hand, I'm constantly jumping from machine to machine because no matter what detector I used, she stumped me constantly. Which is why I say it made no difference what machine I used, I could never hold a candle to her when it came to finding stuff. I kept think for years, that it had to be the machine but after owning over 50 metal detectors I had to come to the realization that I suck at it.

The at pro is a really good machine, same with the gold and the max..All depends on what your looking for or what you like .

Next machine… the greatest of them all… The DEUS II with ELIPTICAL coil…
You would smoke her every time…
Just kidding but I do know that the CZ5 in that saltwater mode is terrible for small gold in the wet sand… I had one years ago and I know

I have yet to find a slick and super thin silver dime at 14 plus inches with ANYthing but my early 1980's MS7 Garrett.

I got a Barber Dime in a churchyard and it must have been really deep because I had my pinpointer all the way down in hole and it wouldn’t pick it up. But I was using the XP and was still getting a signal way down in the hole, so I kept scooping out dirt from the bottom of the hole and suddenly I rescanned the dirt pile and it was there… 1912 Barber dime…. Idk though sometimes I just get tired of trying to find stuff that’s somewhere in the bottom of a hole… and I have been known to leave shit for you guys to find later 😂

Own only one Garrett, APEX and a ProPointer, good quality products
