heyfor who ever has this product and anyone who has pinpointers i finnally relised that this could help me out a lot when im searching old houses and diging in peoples lawns. Can people please tell me what they think about this poinpointer and just poinpointers in general, how helpful are they, any information will be greatly appreciated thanks.

The Garrett pro pointer is real nice. I have owned mine for a few weeks,
and Its used as soon as I open the hole up. It's tough almost bullet proof,
and I get a signal with in a couple of inches from the target. Starts out as
a pulse then as the tip is pointed at the target in the hole it goes to a rapid pulse.
Then as your right on top of the target is goes solid tone. Comes with an LED lite
on the side so it lites up the hole a little as you hand dig and search with it.
To me it's all good... ;D

I guess I didn't reply to the other part of your question.
I like probes better than picking up handfulls of dirt and waving it in
front of the detector to see if it's in the clump. It detects a couple of inches into
the soil so less digging if you know what side of the hole to dig into. Comes with
a handy belt holster.

thanks i got it and probably tippled the coins intake that i normally would get and its a great help.

I use my bulls eye 2 to find my way in the dark it has an LED light on it and it's a real life savor. liftloop

Between the probes I use, the Vibra Probe 570, Garrett Propointer and the Detector Pro Pistol Probe, the Garrett is my favorite.

I originally used the White's Bullseye II but it kept breaking so I upgraded to a Sunray in-line probe which I absolutely love. The only thing I miss is the LED light that the White's has. When the White's is working it does a great job and the company is very good about replacing broken ones with no questions asked but then I have detecting time with out the pinpointer I have grown to rely on. The in-line probe becomes an extension of your detector so you can get VDI numbers and depth readings from the pinpointer. It also uses the same batteries in your detector by flipping a switch so it does not run the batteries down any quicker and you only need to worry about one set. I kept my White's as a backup in case anything ever happens to the Sunray.

The Garrett pinpointer is really great. I get the hit with the 2500 and make the first dig. Then the grandsons finish up the find with the pinpointer, and fill the hole back in. They have a blast. We have worked out where they alternate getting to use the pinpointer on every other hole. (pinpointer on the table)

We divvy up the loot at the end of the hunt to keep things fairly equal.
