Garrett Pro-Pointer

I received my pro-pointer about 2 weeks ago. Using it to death along with my Ace 250. I just cant imagine hunting without it. But I am worried it will not last very long pushing the button off and on again so many times. The button has already started to get finicky. Pushing more than once to stay on. And I do clean it very well after each use and did use electrical tape over the little speaker area to keep water out. I never submerse the unit under water. How long have others had their pro-pointer with out a problem? Thanks in advance

I don't think there is anything wrong with your Propointer. I had the same problem when I first got mine. Once I got used to the timing for turning it on, I have had no problem. I am on my third year since getting it and have located thousands of coins with it. Awesome pinpointer.

when you turn on the propointer just hold the button for a second or two, if you dont it will not stay on that is how mine
seems to work with no problem
