Garrett ProPointer question

I have a new ProPointer and love it! I found that when I press the end into the ground or anything with a little pressure behind it, it tends to vibrate and beep. Is this normal?

I checked mine, and it does not do anything. Might have it checked.

Let me try this again, mine is working, and I tried pushing down on the tip different ways, and it did not do anything. You might have yours checked.

My propointer does that when pressed into the dirt but other than that it
seems to work ok, I just take it a little easy on the probing

mine i guess does it a bit too if i press hard but i go a bit less heavy on the probing,but i wouldnt want to be without it..where i detect someplaces have high minerilised sand areas and i poke it in areas that trigger it wherever i push it..it helps me to understand why my garrett falses a lot ,so I just move to another spot..cheers des
