I have this machine and it now needs a new battery pack. I would like to get it repaired and sell it towards financeing my new exterra 50(hopefully). Does anyone recommend a particular shop or store,besides the garrett site in texas??. Thanks for any tips.

To my knowledge Garrett is the only one that would have the battery packs or able to do the garrenteed repair work.

KellyCo sells use detectors, to help you make a price judgement you can try looking at their site .

Sometimes you can take a specialized battery pack apart. Then you can note what type specialized battery/batteries are being utilized. Radio Shack has a fair selection of batteries that some manufactures use in their specialized battery packs. If the battery/batteries are available, get them. Then all you have to do is remove the old ones, and solder the new in their place.
