Finally, I got one day off after too many days in a row. I hit the same hill that I got the IPOD on several days ago, and also hit some school areas. It was about 5 degrees below zero, so I had to pac a nice hot pac on the box.

Included in the finds was a 2008 POPPY Veteran's quarter,the same one theat the US The Defense Security Service thought was a spy coin some years back.

How cold does it have to get before you put the heat pack on ? I've been hunting in the high 20's and low 30's without any problems. I use alkaline batteries, not rechargeable in the cold weather.
