Right in my own back yard. I was trying all different types of swinging and playing with the modes and just really cherrypicking (and by that I spent a hour digging only 5 holes). Few nails, toy car, 1961 Nickel and something totally new!

Very cool token coin. You can upload your find on TokenCatalog.com. I'm sure they'd appreciate it. I've uploaded a few of mine. :headbang:

That is some super awesome local history right there!
Way to go Decender!
I was searching Washington County Historical Society archives
Here is a 1929 plat map of West Bend

In section 15 right above Nic Vogt lookes like there is an F. Wegener property.
I know its a stretch but hopefully that helps!
Keep it up your doing great!

Nice find, just love those ole tokens, congratulations!

Thanks! Good informatiion. A. and F. could be a combined name for the place of buisness so therte is a lot of looking to do still. I like this kind of detective work LOL!

There are lots of guys here on Tnet who specialize in Tokens. One if them will that Token Down.
Congratulations

Sweet token...Congrats!!!

Nice find! Arthur Frank Wegner was in the general store business for a fairly short time before WWI. His business career stopped when he enlisted in the Navy. Please post this one to tokencatalog - or I can with your permission. There are probably other denominations near the same spot - HH

A.F. Wegner is listed as a grocery in West Bend in the 1918 Dun.

Very sweet token, I'm with Loco on this, I love tokens.

I highly doubt there are any other tokens of this nature in my back yard. You have my permission. I would love to see it listed!

Within about an hour's drive from West End is Ft. Atkinson's Lakeview Cemetery where A. F. Wegner is buried (DOB: 15 Dec. 1852; DOD: 14 Jan. 1919).
A WAG suggests this is your man.
