General Store "One cent" merchandise Token!!
Went to my uncles house this afternoon and went down to an empty lot that used to be a house. Didn't get any old coins, just clad. But I did get this nice token! I did some research and it looks like it is from anywhere between 1891 and 1920s - 30s. The original store was named after Morel and sometime later became Gleason and Morel, but I couldn't find anyone by the name of Gleason.
But anyways, the token says "Due Bearer 1 cent Merchandise Only" which leads me to believe it is older since you could actually buy something with one cent. The side not pictured says "Gleason and Morel", nothing much special to that side.
Probably my coolest find of the year! Thanks for looking,
