Took my 9 year old son out detecting. His first time as he always thought I was a "geek" doing this hobby. He's changed his tune as we both got stuck in digging targets. Small area of grassland next to mansion house. House built in 1813. Got a signal and it was this beauty of a coin I showed the owner of the land and she had fun gently washing the soil off and seeing the coin
It looks like new
My son is kinda converted now

Why do people from Europe always say George 111 when its roman numerals.. George III

I'm not concerned with your title bud. Congrats on a beauty and time well spent with an up and coming treasure hunter

That's a beauty! Congrats!

What a great looking coin. Nice save. Glad your son had a great beginning to an awesome hobby!!!

Oh I like that!!! Great find and thanks for finding, saving, and sharing!

Congrats

Said it before, but these are harder to find than most hammered - congrats on a real good one that can go straight in the album.

Nice digs. Good looking coin.

congrats on a killer coin man! Even better to share it with your son.

Very nice looking coin. That's usually all it takes to make the kids a believer is to dig something "cool".
