Still an excellent save

Educate me. Is that what they call a Georgia rifleman's buckle? And do the top two finds go to the same buckle? Because I found one of those long skinny things to the left once. Also, what's the iron thing? Well done, by the way . . .

O wait, the iron thing is part of a bit. And I used to ride. A LOT. Oh well . . . first question still stands . . .

VAB NICE BUCKLE AND ADJUSTER AND PART OF A HORSE BIT.

Well done - no doubt that buckle made you smile when it showed up in the hole!

Nice job VBH. Anything CS or CW for that matter is a great find.

Good ? PW.
I have just read & Heard them referred to as Georgia frame Buckles , I Guess they were Designed by a Georgian or were mostly made in GA.

Know a guy that dug a Complete one ( I think 2 years ago now) In my area Needless to say I was kinda Green & this is a Guy who seemed to find Pieces every month or two that I only dream of Finding.

I'm 95% sure the Piece to the left is an Adjuster for a US Rifleman's Buckle.

Good Luck Out/up there.
Davers
