Well I bought a ryedale and started really sorting LOTS of cents!!! I have been going to multiple banks and asking to either buy cent bags if they have them and have not shipped them out or boxes. Lots of places have asked lately what I am doing with them and one just came out and asked if I was melting them and if so They would not aid me in criminal activity!!!! :o :icon_scratch:
What the crap! Sure I sort copper pennies out! I sell them to people who as for as I know hoard them. I'm not doing anything illegal but I feel like I'm being watched like a hawk by the banks.
Any other ryedale uses feel like this??

odd, any significant finds while sorting with the ryedale? (wheat pennies, indian pennies)? Also, about how much in Face value have you done so far?

Am I "detecting" a bit of paranoia here?? ???

Relax...chill out...let them say anything and ask anything they want. Your response should be calm and consistent. You are a coin collector. You go through pennies looking for key dates and other important characteristics.

There is no need to be upset. There will always be those trying to be difficult.

Its how you react to them that determines if anything ever becomes a problem.

Remember...coin collector. Rinse...wash...Repeat.....coin collector. :headbang:

Agreed, very well said.

Dont you know people are considered guilty until proven innocent in this country now a days :o Has anybody ever seen the show cops . When that show was first aired it was announced at the beginning of the show that "all suspects were considered guilty until proven innocent in a court of law" has anybody else ever caught that little slip? :laughing7:

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you're not melting them and that you're part of some scheme to melt them.

But hey, you can melt Canadian coppers if you're in the U.S.
