The Bare necessities: water proof detector (at least the coil), good sand scoop, sunscreen, bag for trash, sealable bag for finds, (pinpointer is waterproof). Check the tide chart if applicable (go 1-2 hours before low tide to get out as far as you can), search the areas that have a lot of traffic. Have fun. If the beach is service by a beach cleaning machine you may want to go to another beach or just stay out of the areas they clean. Those machines are brutal on us Detector users! Be sure and post your finds.
