Getting Warmer

Out today searching new land again today, this time with a little success. Found a couple of lead weights maybe medieval and a hammered penny of I think Edward 1 Canterbury mint (1279-1307).

No three pellets in each quarter were used in pennies, half pennies, farthings, groats and half groats. What the three pellets signify I dont know.

That hammered penny is in much better shape than the 2003 zinc penny I dug last saturday!!!!!

Yes your correct I un-rolled one once, and got lead poisoning.
