Found this really cool badge, says licensed peddler 249 Newark New Jersey 1903, and 1908 barber dime, 1897 Indian, 1911 v nickel, and more wheat

In NYC, the Department of Consumer's Affairs issues plastic General Vendor's I.D. cards, on an annual renewal basis.
I guess it would have been too costly to issue a badge.
You had a really nice hunt. Congrats on the Silver.
