WOW!!!! Looks like part of the petrified forest ??? That might make the Guiness BOOk of records ::) Where did you find it?

It is huge, It was found in Caldwell Texas. The owner has been offered Big Money for it. But will never sell.

Very nice :icon_thumleft: but not a record. Ever been to Circle Montana. There are some logs there and you don`t have to look to hard to find 400 lb pieces and some they recover with heavy machinery.

Nice wood but don't think it'll do well in the fireplace

We have a whole forest up here on the bottom of Lake Superior. It may be found in different locations in this great lake. Someone told me one was also located in Lake Michigan. A few years ago a UP diver (diving teacher) located some in shallower depths but he keeps it pretty much to himself. The trees all stand upright but are like approx. 100 feet down. I've often wondered why someone doesn't do a major TV documentary on it. It's like scientists don't want this fact to get out.

:icon_scratch:.... WOW!!! That's got to be a very very old site and it's very beautiful too.
Some things are meant to be left alone and this looks exactly like one of those that shouldn't be tinkered with.

Wow...that is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while! :icon_thumright:

This was a very interesting link about The Forest From 6,000 BC
I spent a week camping at Lake Superior Provincial Park back in '86 and we never new anything like that existed yet.

I live in High Point NC, the home of the world Furniture Market. The Market of 08 there was a Coffee Table made from a slice of these Petrified Wood or Trees, it was 3 1/2 x 4ft wide. The price was $7000.00!!! It was very beautiful!!! but it was only 1/2 inch thick!!.
Can you imagine how much this could be worth??? WOW :hello2: :hello2: :headbang:
