Interesting story I came across today in a 1913 book by Henry W. Shoemaker.... After the St. Patrick's Day Flood in 1865, a giant 7-foot statue of an Indian princess made out of flint appeared in the bed of McElhattan Creek. Indian legend states that for hundreds of years, the appearance of this "giantess" statue indicates an impending tragedy or important event (the Civil War ended exactly 30 days after the Giantess appeared). By all accounts, the Giantess is still at the bottom of McElhattan Creek.
I suppose for some, a centuries-old flint statue would make a great find, but since I'd be afraid of some major bad mojo, you guys can find it
