Thats what I said yesterday when I stepped out of my truck and hit the field. You would think after 10+ inches of rain in a week they would of been sunning them selves waiting on me to pick them up. Everything was damaged as far as points go. Some nice colors and so much broken hammers and flint debitage all over. I kept 1 hammer stone that wasnt damaged to bad just from use. I did find a couple of scrapers and flake tools which are mixed in with the other finds and a nice core in hand. Ive been sick for over a week and am still trying to get rid of it maybe in a couple more days. Ive seen some real nice finds on the site today I wish I had some killers but am still waiting for it to surface for 2018. rock

Nice finds with that many flakes I’m sure a killer point is waiting for you. We got all that crazy rain too normally the river in my back yard is 6-8 ft. Below my deck this is a pic of my floating dock rising almost over the deck ... crazy

Still those are good finds and glad you're feeling well enough to get out. The fresh air probably helped your healing. I was thinking the same thing after the rain that there would be a lot more washed up in the creek, I did find two pottery shards but really due to find a point, at least I think so lol.

I did find some things that day a real heart breaker the tan one. The grainy black quartzite is a Morrow Mountain and even though its not real pretty its whole. The black one is a preform or a flint.
