I ran into my friend, Henry, at church Sunday. He was eager to give me three bottles he had rescued from a city excavation project he had worked on last week. One is a half pint "Lockshore Farms, Inc., Golden Guernsey Products, Kalamazoo, MI" milk bottle. One is a 2.5 oz. bottle with the remains of some kind of wire/cork thing in it. My favorite, is a thin medicine (?) bottle. The seam goes all the way through the lip on that one. The neck is so narrow it was a pistol to clean and I would like to still get it better. There were tiny hair roots all inside and using water and agitating BB's inside worked the best, a tip I learned from a fellow TNetter.
When Henry gave the bottles to me he said I could junk them if I wanted.
No way!
Can anyone give me an idea of era or what they might have been used for?
HH and thanks for looking,
