Typically crystals/rocks like this are found in Brazil or Africa. With the light colored amethyst, I've say brazil. This doesn't mean that this type of cluster can't be found here in the states.. Mindat has a great list of amethyst mines around the world and it's not uncommon to find these types of mineral clusters or combos.. one on top of another.. The agate (Blue or Blue lace) forms the base, While the amethyst grows on top of it. The more I look at it.. I'd have to say it could have come from mexico instead..
