Dug some more marbles over the past few days from the same site. Any ID help would be appreciated again.

Tommy this site is in downtown Savannah and is filled with 2’ to 3’ of brick and concrete from buildings that had been there before. So I’m digging out the rubble and then detecting. It’s physically tough and slow. But very fun. I have most of the hunts on video and will be posting on my YouTube channel in the coming months.

Nice! You're bound to find something superb with marbles like that popping out. You're getting into early 1900s to late 1800s marbles there. The blue ones are called Benningtons. The clays are common but fun, the orange one is an Akro corkscrew from the 30s... golden age for good marbles. The other two glass ones also look to be Akros, same timeframe. I'm waiting, you'll be pulling out some german handmade lutz or a peltier golden rebel or something crazy soon I bet.

thanks Cheese! You never know what will come out of the ground next. I have dug about 50 or more china buttons, a dozen pipe stems and a bunch of feather edge china pieces and metal things dating back to the Revolution. So this site has it all.

Nice. Some of those clays might be older than late 1800s even. Clays are hard to date because they were made the same way for so long. could be early 1900s or hundreds of years older.
