Goin' to Naples, FL

I'll be spending a few days down in Naples, FL next week and hoping for any tips anyone may wish to share (although I'll understand if you don't want to tell me when that treasure chest in until after you dig it up ;)

I've got a Titan 3000XD (1st Texas/Bounty Hunter) rig which may not be really suited for the beach but I'm not going to let that stop me!

Other than a long handled wire scoop, pepper spray in case some woman tries something funny, fake trash to show instead of all the good stuff I'm going to find, a camel pack full of beer, sunscreen on my nose, a wide brimmed hat, extra batteries, sandels and socks (black obviously) what else might I need ???

Oh ... that's right ... I need to figure out where to go!

I've heard stories about coin finds near Clam Pass north of Naples Pier as well as north of the pier up to Ft. Meyers but no solid documented information about past finds. Gee, I wonder why?

Anyway - I'm just happy to be getting out there - I'm sure I'll find something interesting ::)

Man, Thats a bait shark , you put it on the hook to catch a real shark !Fly over a beach sometime those shark are mixed in everywhere with the people. Most ankle or leg bites are from sand sharks in three feet of water or less . They turn sideways to hit you so a real big one dosn't usually go shallow as its hard to turn and hit you,not saying that they won't. A lot of times they will bump you first to get a taste or to identify if you qualify as food. Then they will take out a chunk and back off as you bleed out and come back and finish the job when there is no more fight left.Sea Vultures. Shark sandwich anyone? Bob
