Going back later this week

I was driving home from visiting friends, and stopped at another friends farm to ask if I could stop by later in the week and do some detecting & digging. He's always accommodating, and tells me to stop by anytime. Today he hands me this, and said he found it laying near the creek about 10'feet from where I was digging last time.

May have to take up relic hunting and leave the bottles & metal detector alone for a little while.

He's always asked why I don't look for arrowheads....... Now I know why. He's not able to get around without a cane, but takes his 4 wheeler out when he can, which isn't much.

Wow! that's awesome! yep I'd put the metal detector down for a bit if he's willing to let you hunt for something like that. I know I'd be all over it! lol

That is a beautiful artifact! If you are in an area that the local Indians were trading with the fur traders I would not miss out in using your detector, there just may be some lost copper or metal points lost also. Just a hint.
