Detector(s) used
XP Deus, Nox 800, Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II, Poor ole wore out Fisher 1266 that still finds stuff.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
My first 800 was broke out of the box.
Sent it back, they sent a new one,
It was broke out of box,as well.
Sent it back on 7/5, they didn't look at until 7/11, they must be getting busy, took 6 days look at it.
They said they couldn't find the problems I described, but found other problems.
They are sending a third out today, hope it works.

Sorry man, that sucks. I hope you have another detector to use.

Damn, that must suck, big time!

Sorry to hear 'bout your bad luck.

Had mine just over a year, and all ok so far, apart from a broken arm cuff....which was prob, no...deffo my fault for putting strap wayyy 2 tight.

Fingers crossed your next delivery will be awesome:thumbsup:

Matt

Thanks, Pa and Matt.
I'm hoping they'll test #3 before it's sent out.
All they need to do is turn on, to go Park1, noise cancel and if they have to push detect button twice, throw it in the reject box and send me one that works like it's suppose to.
Just got shipping notification, guess I'll see Monday.

Good Luck with #4! :icon_thumleft:

The price of gold going up just means more people buying metal detectors

Had similar problem. Returned it three times before they replaced the entire unit. Bad right out of the box.

They were very nice about it and I finally have a unit that works

Good this one is the charm

Great machine when it works like it’s supposed to. Hope you have better luck with the next one.

New nox arrived?

Is this one working?

Let us know dude

Matt

It's at the PO, won't get it til Monday.

Let us know. If it doesn't I'd just demand a full refund.

Thanks for bringing this up. I just checked my two and everything is as it should be. Good luck!

Hopefully you will have good news on Monday.

I Just sent mine in Friday. Had the CD error. Constant CD on screen then auto shut down. Tried 3 different coils. Also had issues with the backlight switch. Unit is a little over a year old.

Hope they just replace it and get it back to me quick.

Not a happy camper right now.
Got #3 late yesterday.
Unpacked it, connected coil, turned on, did noise cancel, pressed detect button, heard beep and screen froze, had to press detect button second time to return to detect screen.
Turned detector off and back on, same thing.
Tried 4 or 5 times it wouldn't return with 1 press.
Went to video the problem, it worked the first few times with 1 press, on about the forth try it froze after 1 press.
This now the third Nox to show the same initial problem.

Is this a problem for others that use the NOX? I ask because you are the only one Iv herd of having this issue....

That is my question?
Maybe as the day gets later, we will have more members online to weigh in.

These are all completely new units, right? They are not recycling the coils are they (i.e., trying to eliminate the remote possibility the original coil is borked and frying the control head)? Doesn’t make sense the issue resides with 3 completely new detector/coil systems. There has to be a common thread somewhere...

Deep1, I would get loud and demand a full refund. You have to have an awfully sour taste in your mouth right now. Imagine if this was a car, or a microwave or anything else. I would have lost it after the 2nd one. Consumer protections should apply. Such a shame.
