Compared to many folks on here I hunt a very modest volume, only 2 boxes of halves as a standing order. I often will pick up mixed denominations on Saturday. Nonetheless my goal is always to average 1 silver a day, 365 silver coins a year or 366 this year because of leap year. Right now I'm at 354 which means I'm close but it's not a slam dunk. This weekend I found 3 40%ers, a BU 64-D Rosie, a '46 Rosie and a '43-P Jeff. I also found an '87-D REVERSE ender which I ID'd from the back, a '38-D Jeff and 16 wheaties. Found my normal 2 solid copper rolls, 2 solid 1964 nickel rolls and 8 solid 1976 nickel rolls. The solid nickel date rolls were an odd find.

Get some CWRed halves -$1000 worth if you can round them up - and you'll prob hit that goal. I usually find about 2-3x as much silver in CWRs on average, dollar for dollar.

Good luck! I say you hit your goal by finding a solid roll of silver halves

Good luck. Sounds like you will make your goal and then some.

I like Zomotions plan the best. I'll see what this weeks boxes hold and then plan accordingly. My area is very rich with coin counters so CWR halves aren't terribly prevalent. You find them from time to time but I've never hit a good score since I moved here. Have found solid rolls in VA, GA, FL, WA, CA and NV. Middle of the country they're apparently harder to find. I do find more '76-S silvers here though. Also can't find any IKE's to save my life.

Found 6 40's yesterday. Need 6 more silver before the end of the year. Will be close but should get there.

Am I the only person here who sees a missed opportunity?

I think you might want to consider upping your orders as a New Years resolution...

Seriously, if you've got a thousand dollar bankroll and that many coin counters, you could up your orders to 6 or 8 boxes a week, picking up boxes on different days. Search, dump, pick up - rinse, wash, repeat - all using the same $1,000. The only limit would be time, which unfortunately is my limit as well.

FormerTeller - bank roll isn't the issue, it's time. Work a lot of hours, spend the rest with the kids.
