Dangit all, and I'm heading over to St Pete early tomorrow afternoon!!
I need to get out and do some detecting too...
Well I'll be there on Monday too, so if you happen to go out, lemme know! I don't have a water machine, but I like hitting up the sand though!

Hey THunter. Thanks for the invite. I was going to the get together at Coquina Beach today but my truck crapped out on me and I couldn't leave the family here without a vehicle so I couldn't take the wife's car down. Probably a good thing. Two other issues came up here at home this morning that needed my attention also. Hate I missed the group but I guess there are reasons for things happening.

I was looking for some good finds to show up here from the Tampa Bay area since the weather had stirred things up down there all this week but so far there hasn't been alot found or at least posted if it was.

I have to hunt next weekend to get my monthly hunt in down in Tampa. With the price of gasoline now, I am about going to have to make it a family day at the beach so that we can count it as our family outing for the weekend. Can't hardly justify the expense just so I can get a hunt in alone now. Round trip is about as bad as yours from the west coast.

I hadn't planned to be on that side of the state today, but we put my mom in ths hosipital in Tampa yeasterday and ended up visiting her in the hosipital so I went detecting before going to see her.....

I walked into the water to about waist deep, said hello to someone greeting me and in way less then 2 minutes, on my third swing of my coil I found a silver ring, I thought man that cuts my best time more then in half, it's going to be a good day .........NOT, that was my only jewelry find of the day, that and $3.39 in change.............Lot of pocket spills for some reason.......

While talking to the guys running the Jet Ski rental, they told me one of their customers lost his Rolix past the sand bar on the Gulf side of sand bar. I worked it for an hour up to almost shoulder deep, but I didn't even find a penny.They didn't know how far past the sand bar he was, but said he was really depressed.....He dove in after it but couldn't find it...........


O, lots of eye candy too....................
