Well i'm still chasing the SANDY remnants. I deceided to try some soft sand hunting to give my back a break and it was well worth it
today.
I got another Walking LIb half, 64 quarter a really nice 42 Merc, a nice sterling Maltese cross and to top it all off my last target came up and old watch. The watch looked like gold but had no markings on it that I could see while at the beach.Couldn't see through the face of it for a maker either.
After getting home I was able to open the watch covers on the front and back and found the name WADSWORTH 14 KARAT.. sweet!
I looked the maker up and found that they made watch cases for high end watch makers starting in the late 1800's and the company was bought up by ELGIN in 1953.
This case is solid 14k, 6grams. Thanks for looking and HH!
