i found this bracelet after being at the beach about two minutes.? it was in a foot of water and only half burried.? got a good low gold-pull tab tone with my detector(bounty hunter pioneer 101).? this was also my official first time out detecting ever!!! its about 8" long, couldnt get it all in the pic file size too large! no markings on it. it looks like its diamond cut, how can i tell if its really gold???

WOW, Beautiful Find.

? ?There's Nothing like "BEGINNERS LUCK"? ;D

? If it's real it Should Be Heavy & there Should be a Marking on the Clip.

This dosn't mean it's not real If it Dosn't have a Marking,

But I'd look there First.

Then Ask a Jewler you Trust.

CONGRATS !
Jeff

it feels heavy enough, but no markings.....if its gold a magnet wont stick to it..correct? is silver magnetic?

possibly silver that is gold plated.

Great Find!! Nope silvers not magnetic :D If it was you would see everyone scanning the beach with a magnet ;)

look on the clasp for tiny writing. If it says 925 it is silver.
If you se 10k, 14k, or 18k, then its gold.

darn! i magnet tested the bracelet today and it sticks......i guess its just gold plated...oh well!

my son and i found a silver medalion today with a four leaf clover embosed on it,,,,,

how do you tell if you have real silver? ive heard lemon juice will oxidize it instantly.....

Still a great find 99 !

;)
