Anyone have any experience with this cheapie? A couple people on another forum talked well of it and I was thinking about getting one as a backup. They say you can get one for about $60. Yep, it's Chinese made and build quality and quality control are no doubt a question mark. But users have said that performance is surprisingly good with decent depth and very good target separation. And it has a one year warranty. Also has some nice features including automatic ground balancing, two tone disciminate mode and all metal mode and pinpoint button. I'd prefer to buy American but $ is really tight right now and I can't afford to spend the $200 or so that the majors charge for their entry level detectors so I thought this might be an alternative as a backup. I'm hoping to hear from anybody who has actually used this unit rather than just those saying it's junk because it's Chinese when they haven't used it.

i own 3 of those machines, you wont believe what it will do untill you use it, i know of a couple people on t-net that use it, some wont say it though, i will, it works.....

I have one sound is anoying in all metal and notch modes.Only in disk mode sound is ok .Pinpointing feature is kinda cool like on high end models.Build quality is pretty crappy.Only has a needle like The bounty hunter tracker IV.Overall for 60 dollars its an ok detector. Some what hard to use.Unless your a seasond vet.Not user friendly like the Ace 250 for example but ok for the price.

I find the machine very easy to use and pretty deep with a good disc. Maybe with a little more experience you'll also find it more user friendly. Pretty much a turn on and go as far as I'm concerned. Certainly not more difficult than the Ace machines. My 11 year old loves it.
