Here's the Indian $5 gold coin I found at the old house property with before and after cleaning pics. It's one of the all time best finds I've ever made in 20+ yrs of detecting!

Yes, it's a "reeded edge coin" like quartes, dimes, etc.

It's still that color,

it's just different lighting in the new pic that made/makes it look different.

I took the newer pic on a cloudy day, and it didn't pic up on the gold color too well.

Must be that 10% copper that leached out of the coin. Are there any pitting marks on the coin after you cleaned it?
It doesn't appear to be.
Wish they made all the coins out of gold. LOL.
That is a beautiful coin!

that is one sweet lookin coin , that gold coin is kinda like me, it cleans up nice but ya still don't want to take it out in public .
