Gold dredging last push

hfW,
If you mean will the surface texture of slate at a low angle with water running across it catch fine gold then yes it will however, a type of paint seems like a chalk board paint will perform in the same manner when painted on a smooth surface (the surface likely will need to be waterproof)...63bkpkr

Hey guys in doin one more long weekend dredge this year im aiming for a good bit im doing a bunch of slate anybody know if slate produces good gold finds

Yes. Areas of slate can contain gold. A famous river in CO has gold in the slate bedrock for example...

It all depends on the angle of the bedding planes of the slate. If the slate is lying flat with the creek flowing across, not much will be caught., But if the slate is lying at an angle, every layer of slate sticking acts like a riffle.

If you have a blaster nozzle that tears it up,good gold on many occasions. By hand oooooooooooooo lotza hard work. John
