Just curious if anyone has found a button like this. I am guessing late 1700's, flat, large button. Nothing on the back, gold gilted with elaborate design. IMG_2289 (1).webp

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard mbcuce! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) - members may have more success helping you (your location may help, etc.)...

Nice relic yep a pic of the back will be helpful

Welcome from Mi Tommy

image1 (1).webp Here's the back, no writing, still some gold left. I was afraid to clean too aggressively. thanks for the feedback. Malcolm

Very nice button, Congrats!!! And Welcome to TNet!!!

Just based of it's looks, I'd agree with your late 1700s assessment.

Nice find!
