If you want to find gold, you are going to have to dig the trash. Look in your pouch is there foil, pulltabs, and nickles in there? If not chances are you wont be finding much gold either. Most gold is in the tinfoil through pull tab range. When Bobbie and I go to a place especially if it is a new one for us we pay close attention to the finds if we are finding nickles and small pieces of foil then we know there is a good potential for some gold to be found.
Next where are you looking we know the beaches, parks, schoolyards all have potential.
How are you hunting the area? We have seen a lot of folks basically sprint to the area check around the equipment and then head on to the next spot. Check the areas around the outer perimeter both inside and outside the play area, rememeber that the kids have to get in there some how.
Lastly be persistant, improve your technique and above all else know your machine. know it inside out. A lot of times we all get caught up in getting the latest and best machine. But the machine that is going to bring home the gold more times often is the one that you use and know the best. Example my wife has been detecting with me for the last 4 years she has used only one machine during that time and refuses to try anything else. Now we have 3 of these units in case hers breaks and she has to use the back up briefly.
She knows her machine and how it will perform, she knows she can find good stuff with it and that is all that matters to her
good luck in chasing the gold and if we help you let us know
