Good morning. Looking for a little feedback. I went to a new spot on my claim a couple weeks ago and ran 2 full buckets and came away with 20 colors first photo. Then went back this Friday and ran 4 buckets = 25 colors with a couple nice pieces. Just wondering is this a good amount of Gold coming out of the bank on the River for running that amount of material ? Thanks you guys for any comments.

That’ll get you going!!!

Streambanks are or cover onetime stream bottoms. Digging to bedrock or false bedrock (cemented gravel or clay layer) could be very productive.
Heavy pans!

I'd say ,considering your location to your home , that was a good day! I used to drive for 16 hours to do something like that ! BUT I cherished those times and the friends that I meet ! I'm glad I was able to get out back then Because I'm to old and beat up to do it again ! Go for it while you are able to do so ! :coffee2:

You are right about beat up I just turned 67 and after digging and sluicing for 3-4 hours its hard sometimes lol. It takes me 30 min drive time to get there and 5 min to walk to the River.

It looks like you still have a few good years left in you to get out and enjoy prospecting, for me at 78 I had to hang it up ! :coffee2:

Those are some nice flakes!
My personal opinion is since you are progressively finding a little more, or at least bigger, then there is probably even better spots around for you to discover. But I would have a hard time filling in a hole that gave a nice flake like that! I'm used to catching the flour gold.
