Hello
Today I was on a trip
To one of the rivers in the city is a bit far from my house
Look for a garnet but accidentally found a piece of rock green
Initially predicted it olivine and after examination magnifying lens with me and found to contain a piece of very shiny metal
pyrite or may be gold
But when I return to the house have been checked by drop of aqua regia but not melt so my quastion is it is are real gold
?
and the gold may be find with olivine ore or not?

hit it with a hammer.......if it shatters it's pyrite......if it flattens it's gold.....good luck

thank you oldsalty 19
but i love it because it is the first one i see nice metal with rock
if it is rela gold what is the second step ?

Hi, looks to me a lot like nephrite jade. The fractures show translucency, the colour is right, and oxidation in jade can be gold coloured. Can't be totally sure without handling the specimen but it sure looks like it to me. Nuggy

ok NEGGY may be nephrite like you say but i see clear yellow shinny metal under magnification x10 and x 20 .i am sure not oxide.so if it is jad or nephrite gold or pyrite mixed with him?

OK, I'm curious! Please follow up when you learn more. Also was this a surface find or were you using a detector?
