in europe its common to see the % of gold number in the per 1000 parts --- 750 out of 1000 parts ---which is 3/4 ths pure = 18 K out of 24 K (24 K is pure gold) -- virgo zodaic sign
congrats on finding a small 18 K gold zodaic necklace charm * -- now go back to that area and see if a busted necklace was lost along with it too --most likely the chain it was on broke and the charm dropped to the ground -- being small the charm was easily "lost" ******the owner of the necklace and charm might have noticed the chain breaking at the time and "found" the busted chain on the ground or it might not have been noticed that it broke --if not noticed * there is a excellent chance that the chain is nearby where the charm was found -- I'd say it is worth checking out a 10 foot radius area of where the charm was found very well just in case .
finding first one part (the charm in this case) and then the other part (the busted necklace it was on) is not uncommon--
see my 1/2 lb of 925 silver necklace .
