Gold plated 2005d?

I plucked a dime out of a roll that looked gold on the end. Whole thing looks slightly gold plated on front, back and ends. Is this something that is minted, or is it due to some other cause?

I posted pictures, but it is hard to pick up the color. Any expert info is appreciated.
