It was $1674 an ounce a little bit ago. Probably a good time to sell it. It's going to be extremely volatile.

times like this gold could go higher

And then it will go back to $1200 an ounce. Did this a few years ago also.

I'm kind of fond of the idea of having lots of gold when it's the most valuable (typically when the dollar is weakening).

Your theory could be correct Smokey, but I'm a gold and silver hoarder. Been buying it since 1975, and never sell. My Grandchildren will be very happy some day.

$1659 today.

As the markets crater and currency printing goes hyperbolic we can expect great things!

You can ignore reality but you cant ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.

Three trillion wiped out over the last 5 days. Good job people.

When its obvious most people are NOT going to die, the stock markets will rebound like a rocket ship. Give it a few weeks. I bought fuel oil for 40 cents a gallon cheaper than I got it 8 weeks ago today. There are bargains to be had.

Now selling some gold when it's high to buy heating oil when it's low..that makes sense!

Oh no, I didn't sell anything for the oil. Had the cash.

I meant that would be a good exchange.

True!

Maybe $7 per yard material would be profitable after all ;)

Better hurry up then. At close it was $1652.

Hi ,Gold has always been a great return if you find it . I like the word free .TP

Only free is you made your own equipment from scrap and did not have to put any gas in the car to go find it. NOW, that said, it's FREE for me as to get gold all I have to do is walk out the back door. When we dug the basement out we hit a vein but it's a backbreaking pain to retrieve it and it's tiny. I posted pics awhile back.

Naw..$7 a yard material is better used for fill dirt.

But if your selling...nows the time to be mining!

Hi Really give me an old wheel hub cap and I will walk to the bottom of hill and pan the creek .May take a while to find a few grams thats still more than you ever found .By way the huge gold nuggets are mostly not found out in the middlle of Know Where . Like to know where you get your info from . 600 yards from my house is the mining scene on the 1913 1 pound bank note . All the great gold finders are buried in my county

PS Any time you want a friendly competition TP

No, I can't fly to Australia. I'm on the East Coast gold belt of the US. Farther south of here the gold deposits are much richer, right around here, not so much.

Most folks who gold pan in the US spend a good chunk of cash to do it.

Tinpan, you and I are extremely blessed to be able to just go outside and look for gold. For me, it's tiny. For you, much better. Most folks on the US East Coast cannot do that.
