Gold Prospecting in Idaho City

I would like to take my family to pan for gold in the Idaho City area. Any suggestions as to where to go?

Join GPAA and get their claims guide. It has claims they own in Idaho. You can also go up north of Riggins on the Salmon River and pan and sluice. Pretty Country.

Start off with the nampa gpaa. Good club. $12 to join. There's a claim directly off the dagget creek turn off before you get to grimes creek and another up grimes creek just after you get to clear creek. Good gold on both there and a good places for panning. Look up the nampa gpaa on Google

Many years later. I now finally have a Royal high banker and a gold wheel! Was up in Pine Idaho digging around yesterday! Going to clean the cons tonight!
