What a great weather day here in California ! My Son and two hunting friends hunted a school field that gave up my only silver dime trifecta two years ago . Last time I was just looking for silver and clad , this time I was out for gold ! We hunted for 2 and half hours and about one hour in I had a strong +8 VDI at 2 inches on my Whites M6 . I was a very happy man when I pulled back the plug and saw gold ! It is a 14K ring with a blue stone and a pearl . It's number 53 ring for the year . Other finds were a 1944 wheat , 1953D Jefferson nickel , two foreign coins and a Scout slide . Total clad was $5.86 .

The last picture is of a huge grub or worm I dug up in the wood chips next to a quarter . I think he was guarding it
