gold ring marked xxx m or wxxx

thats the only mark on the inside band, it is a very bright gold color, more so than 18k does anyone know what the letters stand for. the other rings in the pic. are silver, all rings were found at low tide in a very dark color mud, the gold 1 came out of the ground looking good as new.
