Gold Ring, Need help identifying.

Hi there,
I have come into possession of a gold ring. I am asking for any help IDing it for the following details:
Time Period
Any history that it could relate to
Worth (Doesn't particularly matter, would just be interesting.)

Description: On the ring, there are depictions of what looks like a bomber, a blimp, some kind of shield with wings and an american eagle symbol with outspread wings and a sun overhead.

I can't give you much help but others here will. I just want to say that the top of the ring looks like the great seal. The use of the great seal came into being in 1902 and is still in use today.

Thanks so much for the reply, I am judging by the army symbols that it was probably around WWII times.

looking at the pics ....it looks like the top would open....could just be my imagination.
