I got rained out of work today, so I decided to metal detect. I went to a beach on the lake. I found a childs ring about 5 inches down in the clay. 10K. My first gold.

It was a little lopsided when I found it. I've got it back round now. After I clean it up, I think it will make a great Christmas present for my 9 y/o neice.
