I went to a local swimming hole today for a two hour hunt with my Tiger Shark. I got $3.83 in clad, 1 bobby pin, cheap sunglasses and a 14 k ring with what looks like a sapphire and 3 diamond. One diamond missing. Allmost threw it back when I saw it was damaged.:laughing7:

Now that is one beauty of a ring! Way to go! get a stone put in and give it to your honey.

My wife actually got me into metal detecting. I have been a Indian Relic, Fossil, Treasure Hunter all of my life, but back problems slowed me way down. My wife suggested this to get me out doing stuff again. I don't think that she realized what a monster she created. She likes the ring but only wears silver. I got my grown daughter into metal detecting and she has got many of the rings that I have found and has found many of her own.

Yea it's badly damaged, no good anymore. I'll take it of your hands :laughing7:

Hang on to it. I'm sure you'll find another diamond in some future find that you could put in the empty setting.

I agree with holding onto it until you find another with a good stone to swap out.
I have ring one that I cut in half with my scoop shovel.

That wouldnt get passed the inspector. She would confincate that right away. Congrats

IMG_2675.webpI went out again yesterday for 2 1/2 hours and got three more rings, a couple of pendants and around $3.00 in clad. The ring on the left is Sterling. The rest are junk. I met a family that were camping for the week and the oldest daughter had just got a Garrett Ace 150 for her birthday. Her first time out , she got a large Sterling cross on a heavy sterling chain. She looked to be around 11 or 12. I spent half my time talking with them and let them borrow a Bounty Hunter and Pro Pointer that was in the van so Dad could play too.

Beautiful. Count on the tiger shark to sniff out the gold.

That's a beauty! Nice dig:occasion14:

That's a gorgeous ring find, Indian Steve!:wav:
