OK- so I've gotten a few of these in boxes. So far, I have 2 gold-plated, and one silver plated. The gold-plated have "1960" and "1985" stamped on them. The silver has "1960" and "1980" stamped on it. Can anyone shed any light on these? Are they really gold and silver plated? How much are they worth? Where do they come from? I'm very interested in figuring these out. I've heard them mentioned in a few posts, but haven't been able to find anything on them.

Also, I have a 1997 p that is very bronze. I'm wondering if somehow it got more copper than it should. I can't really get a good picture of it with my camera, but wondering if anyone has any info on that too.

Never seen that before! Cool find! No matter what it is a keeper.
Good Hunting!!!!!

I've also found a few of these. There was a company that was selling the gold plated ones. The gold is real but extremely thin. Someone posted the ad for these in a thread a while back. They were issued to commemorate the election of JFK in 1960.

Thanks for posting this. I have found some also and wondered about it.
